Empowering Georgia's Talented Youth, Inc. (EGTYI)

a nonprofit 501c3 organization is a support system, which introduces and nurtures talented young people from the state of Georgia while providing training and educational scholarship opportunities. EGTYI is an organization dedicated to youth, education and community involvement. Our mission is to assist in preventing drug abuse and pregnancy among youth by developing self-esteem and confidence through the arts, which is essential for success in all aspects of their lives.

EGTYI currently sponsors the Hal Jackson’s Talented Teens International (HJTTI) of Georgia Scholarship Program for young ladies age 13-17 and EGTYI Miss Talented Pre-Teen scholarship program for girls 8-12.  Each contest is open all races who reside with-in the state of Georgia.

EGTYI programs have empowered our participants and winners with educational training, scholarships, travel and many other prizes and opportunities.  The young women participate in empowerment-training sessions designed to improve academics, communication and performance skills, self esteem and teach the importance of community service to name a few.  According to our participants and their parents, “EGTYI is more than a competition; it’s another caring family for our young women”.

In EGTYI’s short existence we have enriched and trained hundreds of Georgia’s Talented Youth and helped others to obtain thousands of dollars in scholarship money, including two (2) - 4 year scholarships as well as providing an experience of a life time with international travel, cultural, entertainment and celebrity opportunities to the young women we touch via the scholarship programs.
